Must be highly qualified
Associates degree
Or minimum 60 college credits, or take and pass the ETS Parapro Assessment with a score of 460 or score 480 on SAT reading and writing and a 530 on math.

Ability to work with children in a caring, nurturing manner
Experience with teaching reading and writing skills
Consistent and punctual attendance
Ability to be flexible with varying student needs and schedule changes
Effective communication skills (oral & written) with a variety of staff and students
Must demonstrate initiative, positive teamwork and organization skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to monitor and manage student behavior
